Brownies
Brownie

1 19 oz. (family sized) package of brownie mix
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees for dark or nonstick pan (350 degrees for shiny pan). Grease bottom of 9" x 13" pan. Stir brownie mix, water, oil and eggs in medium bowl until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread evenly in pan. Bake for 28 to 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted 2" from edge comes out almost clean. Cool thoroughly before cutting into 2" x 1" bars.

I have tried numerous "gourmet" brownie recipes, but boxed mix (I prefer Betty Crocker) enhanced with additional chocolate chips is a consistent favorite. I generally make one batch with nuts and one without.
